The process of germinating the seeds is an important key for the success of marijuana growing. It is also recommended that you get your pot seeds from a reliable company for an assurance that you will have seeds with high germination rate. Marijuana seeds can be germinated in three different methods:
New Rockwool cubes have a high pH - too high for healthy cannabis seed germination. Therefore it s important to thoroughly rinse Rockwool cubes in pHed water, then let them soak in pHed water overnight before use. Since Rockwool holds onto a lot of water, after soaking they should be given a few days to dry out before planting seeds or making clones.
All this will let the seed germinate, and you’ll soon find evidence of your work when the plant pops out of the soil in a few days or a week. Below the soil, many new roots will grow from the main root and a solid system of roots will form.
Nevertheless, if you find it interesting to raise plants from seeds just to find out how they turn out, it is definitely worth a try. Moreover, you are not likely to be disappointed, as the wild varieties of canna lilies are all rather pretty, with striking colors and markings.
Placing your seeds in containers under fluorescent lights is best, since the lights do not use too much power and don’t emit much heat, allowing you to place them quite near the plants. Although the seeds don’t actually need the light at this point, an immediate exposure to enough light once they pop out of the soil will help them develop best.
This is the act of simply throwing a large number of marijuana seeds on fertile ground and sometimes covering with a light layer of soil sometimes not. This is quick and easy and fine if you have a large area and a huge supply of seeds. The main drawback is a huge failure rate. If you are paying a premium for quality genetics, then you want to get a near 655% germination rate to get full value for your money.
'Wet' seeds are found in such plants as tomatoes, eggplants and many squashes. Cleaning wet seeds requires washing to clean the seeds and to separate them from the surrounding pulp (see Cleaning Wet Seeds ).
The reason you want to start with a small container is that your plant s roots thrive on oxygen. Cannabis plant roots breathe oxygen, just like we breathe air, and it s important that cannabis roots get plenty of oxygen so the plant can grow as fast as possible.
If you are or want to be a serious grower, keep different weed strains separate from each other. Be sure to label your seeds with which strain and date before you start germination.
