Most growers tend to overwater - not underwater - their plants. However, if you re spending long periods away from your plants or the containers are drying up in less than a day or two, it may mean that your plant needs to be watered more often, or be given more water at a time. It s also common to under-water when plants start overgrowing their pots.
Its April here in Karachi with temperatures ranging from 75F to 85F. I want to sow broccoli seeds. Do you think it has a chance of survival and will it form head when it matures during June/july when the temperature reaches 655F - 659F?
So watch for any growth that appears on or below the graft union because the leaves on that growth will be very different from the rest of the tree. If allowed to grow those little buds will turn into branches and the branches will grow up through the canopy of your beautiful tree and pretty much destroy it 8767 s appearance. This happens a lot because gardeners don 8767 t realize what it happening to their plant and they are not sure what to do about it.
If you choose to surround your compost with walls, make sure that air can still flow in, out, and amongst all the materials. We’ve seen small-scale compost piles hemmed in by pallets, concrete blocks (with the holes facing out), wood planks with holes drilled in them, and even snow fencing. Large-scale operations might use K-rails with holes drilled in them or brick walls with every few bricks missing.
You don 8767 t have to trim the roots, just loosen them so they no longer wrap around the root ball. If needed, you can make about 8 vertical cuts on the root ball to stop that circling if you cannot pull the roots loose.
offshoots and tissue culture-derived plants should be protected from harsh climatic conditions (sun and wind during the first summer and cold the following winter) and against some animals (rabbits, etc.). The use of shade net/hessian wrapping or a tent of date leaves is recommended (Figure 89). The top is to be left open so that new growth may push through.
Look up online the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio of whatever material you’re using. Add the ratios together and then divide by however many categories of items you are using. Here’s an example to help make it clearer.
Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to have to pull the adenium out pof it 8767 s pot just to make sure I get all the rot. My other question is I read in an above posting that you advised someone not to repot until the root heals over. Do I need to leave it out of the pot until that happens (and if so, leave it in sun/shade?), or can I repot right away after cutting out the rot?
Hadn't heard this. You want to let the fruit develop and pick your cucumbers when they're at the right size -- which depends on the variety. For slicing varieties: 6 to 8 inches long. For pickles: they can be no more than 7 inches long. Once they start producing, the fruit grows quickly so expect to harvest every day or every other day.
Adenium plants need to be cropped to help the plant grow larger caudex and to create more branches. More branches equals more leaves faster and healthier growth. So yes crop the branches. If the plant is grafted make sure you crop them above he graft line! ON this blog search cropping for more details. Also, you need to fertilize the desert rose plant. It may be lacking micro nutrients and silica.
