Hi Trecia, I am familiar with the potential issues of growing tropical milkweed and have discussed them in other posts and on social media. These issues are specific to those growing in the deep south and Southern California.
Crabgrass is an annual with branching, spreading stems. Its coarse, blue-green to purplish leaf blades can be smooth or hairy, depending on the species. Flower heads with several fingerlike spikes rise from narrow stems.
Great post. That self doubt sounds like me.
Once the seeds gave sprouted is there a correct way to sow the seeds sprout up or down?
Also do you still need to sow the seeds at the depth specified on the packet or is this not necessary if they have already germinated?
Create a hole in the soil around half an inch deep. Carefully place the sprouted seed in the soil with the white tap root facing down. Cover with soil mix and gently pat down. You should only use one marijuana seed per cup or seed flat section. Place planted seedlings under your grow lamp ensuring the lamp is no closer than 6 inches on a 66/8 vegetative light cycle, for more information on light cycles click here.
I highly recommend using Rapid Rooters instead for your hydroponic application (or any grow setup), as they are much more user-friendly and tend to get far better germination rates.

hey Rambo i was looking for some advice. i have had a similar problem to dorees, in that my seeds are yet yo sprout. i have them in rockwool. yet i did not check the ph. Is this a fatal blunder or can it be saved or is it not crucial? thanks for any advice.
If you re planting in soil, start with a balanced potting soil that doesn t contain extra nutrients. I recommend Happy Frog potting soil mix for cannabis seedlings, but any plain potting mix from your local garden store will do. Never use Miracle-Gro soil or any soil that has time-released nutrients already mixed in. After your plants have grown a few sets of leaves, you can transfer them to a stronger potting mix that contains higher levels of nutrients like Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil , or you can start supplementing with cannabis soil nutrients. Don t want to use nutrients? Learn how to mix up your own super soil so it has all the nutrients your cannabis plants will need!
It happens to all gardeners. We tend to go a bit hog wild in the spring, buying way too many seeds. Sure, we plant a few but then we throw the rest in a drawer and next year, or even many years later, we find them and wonder about the possibility of planting old seeds. Is it a waste of time germinating old seeds?
As soon as you see roots coming out, plant them right away. If the roots get too long, it will be hard to separate the roots from the paper towel. If that happens, just plant the paper towel!
