Chia seeds are certainly better than eggs and oil, though. By mixing one part chia seeds and nine parts water, and letting it sit, you can create a 8775 chia gel 8776 that can be used as an egg or oil replacer in baked goods.
As usual, there are many views on an issue. My method is cover the nuts with mineral water, keep lidded for 8 hours, then loosely pat with a paper towel. (Some sites don 8767 t even advise drying or dehydration as a necessary step provided the nuts are eaten within several days.) Then store in fridge.
These are sooo good and incredibly filling.
Did I mention easy, too? I made them for company with food allergies. They loved them too.
So, being new to this, if I buy raw nuts from or something until I find a more local or better source, and if they are pasteurized, will the soaking/dehydrating method make them dangerous to consume? (. cause mold?)
Thank you Lisa! This particular technique only works on real eggs. You could probably paint artificial eggs with a similar look, but would need to use something other than the dyes and bees wax.

Just as hydrogen peroxide can be used to treat human wounds, you can also use it to treat wounds on your pets. Believe it or not, this also includes fish—just not very small ones. If you can dab it on carefully, it will remove dead flesh and help to kill the bacteria. Balance this with the risk of stressing the fish though if you stress the fish out too much, it may not be worth it, and you have to get it back into the water fast.
Not sure what a top stove is? Do you mean on the stove top? If so, I would not advise that to dehydrate nuts. In the oven at the lowest temp works.
Hi there I am a lover of Gem squash from South Africa.
Baking them with a dollop of butter and finely cut garlic is YUMMMMY 🙂
I purchased a bag and was wondering which would be the best way to freeze them, any advice would be welcome.
Thank you ~•~
WOW! I am in awe of your talent! Those are just amazing!
I have to ask: Is the dye a special Ukrainian dye? I have never been able to get such vibrant colors from the grocery store dyes
